To mark the upcoming release of the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe , presented at the Hall of Los Angeles next week, the American brand Cadillac launches new racing car based on it. It is called Cadillac ATS-VR and has already been officially shown at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
At ATS-VR, which followed the GT3 regulations of the FIA and could therefore be involved in over thirty different competitions worldwide, brings to life one 3.6-liter biturbo V6 aluminum (LF4.R), based the engine of street model but with BorgWarner turbochargers, intercoolers and ECU mayorer dimensions of competition, inter alia, for a total of 600 hp at 7,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 704 Nm .
Thanks to the arrangement transaxle of sequential gearbox X-Trac six-speed, which sends power propeller to a limited slip differential, the 1,318 kg curb weight is distributed 49% front and 51% rear. In charge of stopping the vehicle are discs Brembo 380 mm with six-piston calipers in the front and 355 mm axle with four-piston calipers in the rear, with adjustable ABS by several ways.
The new wheels 18 inch racing tires mounted with a section of 315 millimeters at the front and 325 millimeters at the rear axle. Among the exterior modifications are needed to track an aerodynamic kit with splitter front, flat bottom, rear diffuser and a large rear spoiler. The fuel tank, incidentally, is 120 liters.
Inside cabinets include a roll cage , carbon fiber seats as, Willans harnesses six-point display with rear view cameras , radio system Motorola communications equipment, air conditioning “competition” for the driver and pedal with clutch pedal, among other things.
